Another Achievement Unlocked: Semen Gresik Receives a Prestigious Award at the 2022 Nusantara CSR Awards
Rembang, August 29, 2022 – PT Semen Gresik (PTSG) unlocked another glorious achievement by achieving the 2022 Nusantara CSR Awards organized by The La Tofi School of Social Responsibility at Hotel Indonesia, Jakarta, on August 26, 2022.
The award category was education quality improvement, particularly art education. This honor was awarded to Sahabat Seni Semen Gresik, a program involving youth enthusiasts of art around the company amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
PTSG's Senior Manager of Communication and CSR Unit, Dharma Sunyata, said that the synergy and collaboration among the company, local governments, and community around the operational area are expected to provide greater benefit to the community, environment, and of course, the company.
"During the pandemic, PTSG accommodated the youths from villages around the company to collaboratively grow their talents and interests at an Art Studio powered by Semen Gresik located in Pasucen Village," explained Dharma Sunyata in the press release (28/8).
Sunyata continued that the award served as an appreciation for PTSG's success in implementing the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) by emphasizing the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the community.
"This award extends the achievement lists in the field of community engagement made by Semen Gresik. Previously, PTSG also won prestigious awards, the 2022 TJSL & CSR Awards, and the 2022 TOP CSR Awards in the category of #Star 4 (Four-Star)," he concluded.
The founder of The La Tofi School of Social Responsibility, La Tofi, claimed that his team had shortlisted numerous considerable CSR programs of companies from Aceh to Papua this year.
"Today, COVID-19 remains to exist. We must be able to survive and identify new CSR formulations to keep being beneficial for the community and the environment," explained La Tofi in the press release on Friday night (26/8).
